Today was a change for the U12 team as they traveled to Darlington to play against Mowden Park in the 27,000 seater stadium on the first team pitch.
The day was brilliantly organised by Dave Ellis and the U12 coaches, and the parents and supporters arrived to enjoy a superb carvery in the Presidents Suite before heading out to the terraces to watch the teams play. There was a good turn out from the U12's allowing for 2 games to be played at the same time, with some great tries coming from both sides in a good, evenly matched display of rugby.
After the U12's had played, there was a short break before the main fixture started with Darlington Mowden vs Chester. The match was set to be a tough one and it certainly didn't disappoint, Chester being 6th in the league with Darlington in 3rd place. After a very good match, which was thoroughly enjoyed by the kids, Darlington were victorious with a 20 - 13 scoreline.
